Project Description
In the project, Orfanatorio Ciudad de los Angeles, we are tasked to build a toy for an orphanage child across the border in TJ.
2 Hour Challenge
In the 2 hour challenge, we were given the challenge of building a prototype of our toy in 2 hours. This would let us visualize our final product even better and get feedback from our peers.
Here are the materials I used it my partner, Dayan. We would cut the styrofoam with the tool and measure the size by eye-balling it.

Final Product
Here is the final product which is the Extra Large Jenga. It came out really well and I was proud of it also. In this project I have realized how fortunate I am. I have: a house, family that loves me, food and water, school, I have everything I need. I have learned to appreciate more of what I have than envying of what I do not have.
My partner and I went to Home Depot to buy 8 2x4 wood and we were going to cut it so it would be 1 foot long length wise. We then used sandpaper we borrowed from Ms. Soler and shaded the edges so it would be smooth and no one would get splinters. After we finished sanding it, we planned to paint every side of the word so it wouldn't look plain and boring. |
