What math looks like for me is to have critical thinking skills. You need to know how to solve problems one step at a time.
In math class, I also learned skills not specifically to math; I learned the qualities of a mathematician. The different qualities are: questioning, growth mindset/perseverance, hypothesizing/experimenting, explaining/justifying, patterns/generalizing, and collaborating. Those are the skills you can use to solve any type of problem, I used those qualities in math. |

I enjoyed math this year, I'm still getting used to the new math system in the school but I'm getting a hang of it. My strength in math class throughout the year was understanding the work quickly. A stretch I had in the beginning of the year was the have the role of being a leader. If I got the chance to revise my work, it would probably be the group work because I didn't give it my all sometimes. To push myself further in math would be to ask for more challenging work, I know I can do it. My favorite moment in math was the night of exhibition, Bets by the Beach. I really enjoyed betting for chips, at one point I had around 150 chips. I then went to the roulette table and went all in on black. My chips then doubled, I made the bank go bankrupt because "I hate to lost." I also enjoyed being the dealer for blackjack, seeing people have fun. I have personally grown by becoming a leader. I know what it takes to be a leader, to be cooperative and mindful.
