What I did to make my poem descriptive was to revise it and think if it was specific to my interviewee.
I learned that he is very interesting. He's not only very independent, but also super compassionate. He cooks for his grandpa and bikes to school. I've known him a little before, but now after the interviews I feel closer to him and know him a lot better. The part of the revision that helped me the most was when we put our poems into a spreadsheet then commented on our lines to see if it was specific to our interviewee. Next time I make a revision on one of my writing pieces, I will be specific and detailed in my writing so it can be clear to the reader and they'll also get a better vision.

This week what really struct me was the socratic seminar. I love discussing about different ideas with a group of people and commenting on other peoples opinions. I started doing socratic seminars since middle school.
I learn a lot from discussions because I get to hear other peoples ideas. It pushes me to think harder and better. You build off of ideas and make many ideas, turn into one big idea. What is still challenging for me is making my DP (this one) to look professional and simple to the veiwers. I'm getting used to Weebly, because I come from Google Sites, and I want to persevere to make my DP look good. What I found the most interesting thing I did on my first week of 10th grade was, the dialogical interviews. I found it so interesting to get to know one of my peers a lot better. We were asking thought provoking questions to each other such as: What was the most significant moment that you ever had? I had Diego as my interviewee, I got to know more about his life outside of school and he is not only a very independent person but also compassionate towards others.
I need a lot of support in humanities because that is my most challenging class. So I want Dr. P to push me to do my best so I can learn more and better. Also, to make work interesting so I can be captivated to do my work. I really want to get better at writing essays to prepare me for college and everything else in the future. |
